Who is Gurumatha Amma?
Revered in her native India as an incarnation of the Divine, Poojya Gurumatha Amma lovingly showers her unconditional love on each and every person whom she considers as her very own child, and guides each devotee towards his or her own truth, along his or her own unique path. Amma teaches advanced yet simple to understand and easy to apply Yoga techniques for self-realization that are designed for everyday life.

Get ready for your awakening! The six-day course is held in a beautiful, bright space of a private waterfront home, located in Montreal-Dorval and overlooking the St. Laurence river. Powerful Yoga techniques for self-realization are being taught by Gurumatha Amma in this course.
The course covers aspects such as Hatha Yoga, Pranayama exercises (yogic breathing), Meditation and Gayatri Maha Mantra. Gurumatha Amma will also expound the meaning and provide a rare initiation into the Surya Gayatri Mantra, the highest form of the Gayatri Maha Mantra.
"The Surya Gayatri, also known as the Adi Gayatri, is an invocation that first appeared in the Rig Veda, an ancient scripture of India. It is considered the original and principal mantra among the Gayatri mantras dedicated to various deities."
This mantra honors Surya Devata, also known as Savitri, the lord of the sun. As the effulgence that brings life to and illumines all activities in the world, Savitri represents the supreme light of Consciousness, the Self of all."
Initiation into this mantra improves clarity for meditation and facilitates the journey on the path to Self-Realization by consciously connecting our everyday life to the universal energy, represented through the form of the sun. Chanting of - and meditating on - the Suryia Gayatri Mantra establishes a connection between the microcosm (the Individual Self) and the macrocosm (the Universal Self), therefore facilitating your journey on the path to Self Realization and Enlightenment.

5:00 am: Morning Yoga, Pranayama Instructions with Amma
9:30 am to 12 pm: Morning satsang with Amma
3:00 pm: Afternoon Session with Amma (course participants only)
5:00 pm: Chanting
7:00 pm: Evening Session with Amma (course participants only)
The auspicious Sri Chakra Puja is being held in this location on Thursday August 15th.
