Upanishads – Desire, greed, jealousy, attachment, anger, and arrogance

Desire, greed, jealousy, attachment, anger, and arrogance - these six negative emotions are not different. They are different levels of the same negative demonic emotion, which all find expression in the form of anger. When anger is suppressed, it creates a cloud of fear within. If love is present, fear disappears, and with it, all negative emotions. Love is the true essence of being. Every other emotion is an illusion that is cultivated by the ego. When anger appears, love disappears and fear accumulates. Anger is the absence of love.

In another sense, anger means false love, because of attachment. It then turns into hatred because anger means hate. Anger, resulting in fear, damages your immune system. Our anger is our own worst enemy. It hurts our soul and damages our heart. Anger is suppressed hate creating negativity. Attachment and hatred are two faces of the same coin. This is not love, but rather is induced fear. But where there is true love, there is compassion and forgiving. Attachment and so-called love is an illusion.
